Top 2 exceptionally exotic beaches of Goa

My Dream is to have a house on the beach , even just a little shack somewhere so I can wake up , have coffee , look at the Dolphins , be quiet & breathe the fresh air”

Goa & Beaches aren’t two different words anymore for whenever you utter or listen someone say ‘Goa’, the very next moment you visualize yourself enjoying  on a wonderful beach with a drink of your choice besides you .

And standing true to the hype , Goa does has got some truly beautiful beaches however , sometimes abundance of good things becomes a problem too.For instance ,  if you are on a standard 3 or 4 day Goa Vacations, then the idea of covering each & every beach isn’t that great  since it then becomes more of a target  to achieve, thereby taking away the fun element .

Hence it becomes all more important to single out some relatively lesser known but must visit Goa beaches beforehand  .Here’s my experience about two such picks :

Having visited Goa earlier too , this time we were pretty much clear that this trip won’t be about tick marking the maximum number of tourist destinations that we would be covering. No, rather we planned to shortlist least number of spots to visit and then just enjoy hanging there .

And hence , for beaches too, the list was restricted to very few. No more Baga or Calangute or Anjuna or Miramar  per say . And among the listed few also , We found that the following two beaches certainly stand out if you are really looking forward to visit Clean, Clam , Neat , Serene & Beautiful  ones .

  1.  The Ashwem (Ashvem) Beach
  • Location –  North Goa ,  About 15 km from Arpora & 18 km from Baga Beach
  • Bio – White Sand Beach , Calm with hardly  any crowd , No food shacks & No water sports.

best beaches in goa

Well so far we all have heard how magnificent various beaches of South Goa are . But what if I tell you that an equally splendid option lies very much in North Goa itself . That’s right, the moment you reach the Ashwem Beach , you are joyfully surprised with the whole ambiance  –  crystal clear beach , graced with some lush green vegetation on the periphery , away from all the noise , lets say its just you & the nature when you are there. It is probably the cleanest beach I have seen so far in India (counting those of Kerala too).  The only thing restrictive about Ashwem beach that we felt was non-availability of food options except of-course the ‘Nariyal Pani’

However , that problem too seems to have been solved to some extent as I am told by a friend that the under construction eco-friendly Fruit Shack  by Nicholas is up & running now :

#Travel Tips :  Don’t miss the Sunset here at Ashwem beach. Also, Do carry some dry snacks  (Chips or something) with you but hey , please be a responsible tourist & make sure you don’t leave any waste behind.

Since words just can’t justify the beauty of this hidden white sand jewel , so here’s presenting before you , a video with all the necessary details, shot live from the Ashwem Beach itself :

The Agonda Beach :

  • Location : South Goa , About 9 km from Palolem beach & 40 km from Madgaon (Margoa)
  • Bio : Yellow Sand Beach , Serene with very less crowd , Dining options available but no water sports.

When it comes to beaches of South Goa , there is hardly any need to convince anyone about how clean & magnificent  they are . But then also , among all this lot too you will find The Agonda Beach absolutely stunning because when it comes to the charm & scenic parameters , it is at par with the Ashwem beach with an added advantage of having some good food shacks on the beach side .

I bet you gonna love every single moment spent there .

Still have doubts ? Well check this video out yourself :

#Travel Tip : Be somewhat careful about very small cute looking crabs roaming randomly near the shore . Nothing much to worry , just take care of kids a little.

You can always add more Goa beaches in your itinerary depending  upon the time available with you but please, I repeat , please don’t miss the two beaches mentioned above .

And don’t forget to thank me here ,once you return after visiting them both 🙂
